Contest Rules

Prize

Two departments will receive a $750 grant to be used for future staff appreciation and/or staff professional development efforts in 2017. Winners will be selected by a random drawing based on photos submitted.

Eligibility

The contest is open to staff units at Texas A&M University, as well as Texas A&M branch campuses, Texas A&M affiliated agencies, and local Texas A&M System. There is no entry fee. Employees of SSC and Chartwells are not eligible to win this grant.

Deadline

Contest entries will be accepted on Friday, March 3, beginning at 6 a.m. CST. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CST.

Submitting Your Entry

  1. Snap photos of your unit-hosted staff appreciation event/activity.
  2. Share your photos on the SAW Facebook Event page:
    • Tag your photo using #SAW2017
    • Include captions detailing your unit's appreciation for staff (unit/department name must be included in the caption).
  3. All photo submissions made to the SAW 2017 Facebook page on Friday, March 3 will be entered into a random drawing for the grant. One entry per department. You may submit multiple photos however if you submit 1 photo or 10 photos your department will only receive ONE entry into the random drawing.

Winner Notification

The Staff Appreciation Week Planning Committee will randomly select the winning photos and will announce the contest winners on Monday, March 6, 2017. Winners will be notified via phone call or email prior to the campus notice.
